Hiking – the  Salzkammergut area offers a huge variety to stretch one’s legs after too many weeks at work or in the office.
Mount Zwölferhorn  is just around the corner from the apartments. The hike is about 2 hours, but if you want to take it slow, go for the nice little panorama cable-car.
Mount Schafberg welcomes you every time you look out of the apartment window. The hike is a little longer, about 3 hours but you can take the historic rack railway from St. Wolfgang to Schafberg Alm and hike the last bit which is only about one hour. The top of Mount Schafberg offers you stunning views to Lake Fuschl, Lake Mondsee, Lake Attersee and Lake Wolfgangsee.  Some recommendations:  Hiking, Mount Schafberg 

Biking – Whether mountain bike or racing bike, the Salzkammergut area has a lot to offer.  There are 76 beautiful lakes to explore in the Salzkammergut area  – grab your bike and off you go.

Golf – The Salzkammergut Golf Club is situated in the picturesque and lavish countryside of Bad Ischl. The 18-hole golf course is only 5 minutes from the apartment. Culture – Follow Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s track and pass the Mozart fountain in front of the townhall, walk on until you reach the Nannerl Museum and finally finish at the fountain of Mozart’s mother not far from the shipping pier.
Also worth a visit is the church of St. Gilgen and the little church up at Mount Falkenstein.
If you are more into arts and culture, visit the city of Salzburg. During summer, the Salzburg Festival attracts quite a number of visitors every year and during the Advent season, the beautiful christmas markets of Salzburg are the place to go for a cup of punch or mulled wine.

Swimming and bathing – Fancy a bath in one of the crystal clear lakes of the Salzkammergut? Lake Wolfgangsee is just at your feet, the little Lake Krottensee, Lake Mondsee or Lake Fuschl are also within a few minutes. In St. Gilgen, the public bathing beach is a good choice and offers free admission.
